Old Courthouse, Antrim

The Old Courthouse is a former court house and market hall in Market Square in Antrim, County Antrim. It is within the townland of Town Parks, in the civil parish of Antrim. The Old Courthouse is a classically designed, two-storey building, completed in 1726 for the sum of £150. The cupola on top dates from 1817. The Court occupied the upper floor, while the lower storey provided an arched market hall. It continued as a courthouse until 1994. In 2010 it was extensively restored to include a multi-purpose auditorium and coffee shop. It is within the council area of Antrim and Newtownabbey.
