Old Coulsdon, Surrey

Old Coulsdon is a former village (Coulsdon) that now forms the southern part of the suburban town of Coulsdon, in Surrey. The village remained rural until the mid 20th century before seeing significant suburban development and becoming contiguous with the suburban town of Coulsdon developing to its north. The church of St John the Evangelist dates from at least the 12th century, and has a 15th-century tower. Coulsdon Court dates from the 1850s. The area is within the council area of Surrey.
