Ogmore-by-Sea (Welsh: Aberogwr) is a seaside village in Glamorgan, on western limit of the Glamorgan Heritage Coast. The modern village grew from the hamlet of Sutton from the late 19th century, becoming known as Ogmore-by-Sea by 1920. Until the late 19th century, the area was heavily quarried, Sutton Stone being highly prized for high-status and ornamental mediæval architecture. The village is within the council area of The Vale of Glamorgan.
