Nuttall, Lancashire

Nuttall is a village in Lancashire, on the River Irwell to the south of Ramsbottom. Nuttall was a mill village alongside the river. Following a long decline, most of the housing was demolished in the 1960s. The name is now used for a 20th-century housing estate which partially overlaps with the former village site. It is within the council area of Bury.
