Norton Hammer, Derbyshire

Norton Hammer is a former hamlet that is now a suburban area on the south-eastern bank of the River Sheaf in Derbyshire, though forming part of Sheffield's southern suburbs. It remained a small hamlet adjacent to a weir and millrace on the river until the early 20th century, after which it became part of the suburban development around Meersbrook Park. It is within the council area of Sheffield.
