Norton, Yorkshire
Norton (or Norton-on-Derwent) is a town in Yorkshire, in the East Riding. It lies on the south bank of the River Derwent. The Malton Bridge across the Derwent joins Norton to Malton in the North Riding. Norton, along with Malton, is well known throughout the horse racing industry for the town's many stables. The town is within the council area of North Yorkshire.
