North End, Hampshire

North End is an urban area in Portsmouth, Hampshire. Its name derives from its having been the northern end of Kingston. The area was developed from the late 19th century as a part of the city after a horse-drawn tram route opened between Portsmouth and Cosham. It is within the council area of Portsmouth.
