Norbury, Surrey

Norbury is an urban area between Thornton Heath and Streatham, in Surrey. Norbury Railway station opened in 1878 and Norbury had developed as a semi-rural suburb by the end of the 19th century. The earlY decades of the 20th century saw large-scale urban development. Norbury Hall, now a care home, dates from 1802. The area is within the council area of Croydon.
