Newton-le-Willows, Lancashire
Newton-Le-Willows is a market town in Lancashire. The town (also previously referred as Newton-in-Makerfield) has a documented history back to the 12the century. During the 19th century, the Earlestown area was developed to the west of the town, around a major railway junction. Earlestown is sometimes considered a town in its own right, though is has long since become contiguous with the older town. The town is within the council area of St Helens.
