Newport Pagnell, Buckinghamshire
Newport Pagnell is a town in Buckinghamshire. The town was first mentioned in the Domesday Book of 1086 as 'Neuport'. Tickford Bridge over the River Ouzel (1810) is one of the last cast-iron bridges in Britain that still carries road traffic. From 1954 until 2007, the town was the home to the sports car manufacturer Aston Martin. Although part of the new town of Milton Keynes since its inception in 1967, Newport Pagnell is separated from the rest of the urban area of Milton Kenyes by the M1 motorway.
