New Tredegar, Monmouthshire
New Tredegar (Welsh: Tredegar Newydd) is a former mining town in western Monmouthshire. The town lies in the Rhymney Valley, on the eastern (Monmouthshire) side of the river. The area is rich in the mining heritage of the South Wales mining industry. The town is within the council area of Caerphilly.
