New Town, Wiltshire

New Town (or Swindon New Town) is an urban locality in Swindon, Wiltshire. Swindon New Town grew around the main line between London and Bristol during the second half of the 19th century. Around 1900, the original market town, Old Swindon, merged with the New Town to become a single town. Swindon New Town is within the council area of Swindon.
