New Malden, Surrey
New Malden is a town in Surrey. The town developed around Malden Station (now New Malden Station) after its opening in 1846, in a sparsely populated area north of Malden itself. Development continued into the 1930s, the town now being contiguous with Old Malden to its south, Coombe to its north and Kingston upon Thames to its north-west. New Malden Town Hall (1905) is in the Edwardian Baroque style. The town is within the council area of Kingston upon Thames.
