New Ferry, Cheshire
New Ferry is a suburban village in Cheshire, on the eastern side of the Wirral peninsula. It is contiguous with Rock Ferry to its north and Port Sunlight to its south. A ferry service gave its name to the locality, the first recorded mention of New Ferry was in 1774. The ferry service ceased in 1922. The village is within the council area of Wirral.
