Nettly Knowe, Derbyshire
Nettly Knowe (aka Net Low) is a Bronze Age bowl barrow overlooking Dovedale, near Coldeaton, Derbyshire. The flat-topped mound measures about 70ft by 60ft and is about 2ft high. A Bronze Age date was assigned after an excavation by Thomas Bateman in 1845 revealed an extended skeleton along with burnt flint artefacts, a bronze dagger and other objects of bronze and jet. The monument is within the council area of Derbyshire Dales (Derbyshire).
