Nailsea, Somerset

Nailsea is a town in Somerset. The town developed from the 16th century as a centre for coal mining and, from 1788, for glass manufacture. Its economy is now based on service industries. Holy Trinity Church dates from the 15th century. Nailsea was the home town of Somerset folk singer Adge Cutler, who is buried in the graveyard of Christ Church. The town is within the council area of North Somerset.
