Muckamore Priory, Antrim
Muckamore Priory is a former Augustinian priory, located on a hill on the south bank of the Six Mile Water in the townland of Muckamore, near the town of Antrim, County Antrim. It was founded by followers of John de Courcy before 1283 on the site of an earlier church and its dedication to Saints Mary and Colman Elo acknowledges the earlier foundation. Excavations in 1973 revealed parts of the cloister and adjacent buildings including the church. There are currently no visible remains. The monument is in the care of the Department for Communities. The monument is within the council area of Antrim and Newtownabbey.
