Mountsandel, Londonderry

Mountsandel is a suburban area, lying on the east bank of the River Bann in Coleraine, County Londonderry. It is within the townland of Mount Sandel, in the civil parish of Coleraine. The riverside area of Mount Sorel townland is known for Mountsandel Fort and Montsandel Wood. The rest of the townland was developed as a southern suburb of Coleraine from the 1960s. The area is within the council area of Causeway Coast and Glens.
