Mountnorris, Armagh
Mountnorris (aka Mount Norris) is a small village in County Armagh. It is within the townlands of Mountnorris and Tullyheron, in the civil parish of Loughgilly. Lord Mountjoy built an earthwork fort and left a garrison here in 1600. The area took its name by combining the names of Mountjoy and his campaign commander in the Low Countries, Sir John Norris. The village is within the council area of Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon.
