Mount Wise is an urban area in the Devonport area of Plymouth, Devon. Mount Wise forms high ground at the south end of Devonport, overlooking Plymouth Sound. A historic estate, it was later used as a headquarters for senior Admiralty staff. The Mount Wise Redoubt was built in the 1770s as part of the protection for the Dockyard. It is within the council area of Plymouth.
