Mount Vernon, Antrim
Mount Vernon is a post-war housing estate, usually considered an outer northern suburb of Belfast, County Antrim. It lies within the townland of Low-Wood, in the civil parish of Shankill. The estate was constructed from 1949 around the Victorian Mount Vernon House. The house itself became a school, before being demolished in the 1980s. The Mount Vernon estate is within the council area of Belfast.
