Moorthorpe, Yorkshire
Moorthorpe is a village in Yorkshire, in the West Riding. Once a small rural village, it expanded with the coming on the mining industry in the 19th century. It now forms a single urban area with its neighbours South Kirkby (to its east) and South Elmsall (to its east). It is within the council area of Wakefield.
