Molenick Farmhouse, Cornwall
Molenick Farmhouse is a historic farmhouse near Tideford, Cornwall. It is considered one of the county's finest examples of its kind. It is of early 16th century origin and was remodelled in the early 18th century. An estate plan from around 1720 shows the house was once E-shaped, although only the central portion remains today. The building's interior showcases its evolution, with Historic England's listing describing a former open hall, various roof sections, and an early 17th-century vaulted ceiling. The property was the seat of the Scawen family from the 13th to the 18th century. In 1780, it was acquired by the Eliot family, whose descendants have owned it ever since. Lord Eliot and his family have also lived in the house over the centuries. It is within the council area of Cornwall.
