Milton Regis, Kent

Milton Regis is a large village in Kent. The village is of ancient foundation. Holy Trinity Church is claimed to be one of the oldest churches in Kent. It is of Augustinian foundation though with substantial additions and rebuilding in the Saxon and Norman periods. The village has many fine timber-framed houses and buildings remaining including a Mediæval Court Hall that dates from 1450. Milton Regis is now often considered to be a suburb of Sittingbourne, once a hamlet to its south-east. The village is within the council area of Swale (Kent).
