Milton, Staffordshire

Milton is a large suburban village in Staffordshire. For centuries a small hamlet, Milton began to grow following the opening of the Caldon Canal (1778). The Church of St Phillip and St James was built between 1848 and 1865, as the population grew. Following 20th century housing development, Milton is now contiguous with Baddeley Green to its north. It is within the council area of Stoke-on-Trent.
