Milton, Hampshire

Milton is a former village that is now an urban area in Portsmouth, Hampshire. It lies in the south-eastern part of Portsea Island, to the north of Eastney. Milton was a small rural village from Saxon times until the area became a part of the Portsmouth municipal area in 1904, since when it has been substantially developed, though to a large degree it retains a village identity. It is within the council area of Portsmouth.
