Millvale, Antrim
Millvale is an urban area in Ballyclare in County Antrim. It is within the townland of Ballyclare, in the civil parish of Ballynure. The area was the site of a paper mill, running off a mill race off of the Six Mile River, from the early 18th century. This was converted to a corn mill in 1824 and then a large beetling mill from 1900 to the 1920s. The area was developed for suburban housing from the mid 20th century and eventually became contiguous with the urban area around Ballyclare. Several houses from the former hamlet survive. The area is within the council area of Antrim and Newtownabbey.
