Milltown, Antrim
Milltown is a former hamlet that is now an urban area in Ballyclare, lying on the Six Mile River in County Antrim. It is within the townlands of Ballyclare and Ballygallagh, in the civil parishes of Grange of Doagh and Ballylinny. The area was the site of a mill race, mill pond and a small settlement at least as far back as the 18th century. It developed further around the Milltown Paper Mill which operated from 1836 to 1950. The area has since been redeveloped as Avondale Business Park and is now contiguous with the urban area around Ballyclare. Several houses from the former hamlet survive. The area is within the council area of Antrim and Newtownabbey.
