Mill Mound, Somerset

Mill Mound is an ancient earthwork mound near East Quantoxhead, Somerset. This large flat-topped mound is surrounded on all but the east side by a small ditch. A definite causeway crosses the ditch on the south side. The mound has previously been considered to be a barrow but its shape, size and the causeway are consistent with its use as a mill mound.
