Middlesbrough Cathedral, Yorkshire
Middlesbrough Cathedral (formally the Cathedral Church of St Mary) is a Roman Catholic cathedral in Coulby Newham, Middlesbrough, Yorkshire, in the North Riding. It is the seat of the Bishop of Middlesbrough. It was constructed from 1985 and consecrated in 1988. It was built as a replacement for the 1878 Cathedral Church of Our Lady Of Perpetual Succour, located in the St Hilda's district of the town, which was eventually demolished in 2000. The cathedral is within the council area of Middlesbrough.
