Membury Fort, Wiltshire / Berkshire
Membury Fort (aka Membury Camp) is an Iron Age hillfort that lies partly in Wiltshire and partly in Berkshire. The site encompasses 35 acres. The circular earthworks are completely shrouded in trees and inside the walls it is mostly arable farmland. The Berkshire segment comprises the north-eastern quarter of the monument and is totally wooded by a small copse, Walls Copse. The monument is within the council areas of Wiltshire and West Berkshire.
