Meir, Staffordshire
Meir is a large suburban village in Staffordshire. It remained a small hamlet around Meir House into the 20th century. The village saw large-scale suburban development in the 20th century and it now effectively forms an eastern suburb of Longton. The Meir Park area was developed on the site of Meir Aerodrome after its closure in the 1970s. The village is within the council area of Stoke-on-Trent.
