Mauley Cross, Yorkshire
Mauley Cross is a mediæval wayside cross near Stape, Yorkshire, in the North Riding. It stands close to the junction of two ancient tracks, one of which had become a Roman road. The cross is carved from a single slab of fine gritstone. It is within the council area of North Yorkshire.
