Marshfield, Gloucestershire
Marshfield is a market town in Gloucestershire. Marshfield gained market status in 1234 and grew from its location in the heart of the Cotswold wool country. The High Street is around 400 yards in length, the majority of its buildings dating from the 17th and 18th centuries. St Mary's Church dates from around 1470, though on a site used as a church from before the Conquest. The Marshfield Mummers performs each Boxing Day along the High Street. The town is within the council area of South Gloucestershire.
