Market Drayton, Shropshire
Market Drayton is a small market town in Shropshire. It stands on the River Tern, which here forms the county border with Staffordshire. The great fire of Drayton destroyed almost 70% of the town in 1651. The buttercross still has a bell at the top for people to ring if there is ever another fire. The town is within the council area of Shropshire.
