Mansewood, Renfrewshire

Mansewood is a residential district in the south-west of the Glasgow conurbation. It is in the Eastwood civil parish in Renfrewshire. Mansewood was originally Church or 'Glebe' land belonging to nearby Eastwood Parish Church. In 1871, the Reverend George Campbell, Minister of Eastwood Parish, submitted an application to feu the land to developers. Soon after, the building of houses began. It is within the council area of City of Glasgow.
