Manorbier Castle is a mediæval castle at Manorbier, Pembrokeshire. It was founded in the late 11th century by the Anglo-Norman de Barry family. It was the birthplace of mediæval writer and clergyman Gerald of Wales. The castle's domestic ranges, completed in the 1140s, include kitchens, apartments and a Great Hall. A chapel with elaborate vaulting and plaster-work was built around 1260. Some of the original mediæval frescoes survive. The castle stands on a natural coastal promontory. The castle is within the council area of Pembrokeshire.
