Manor House, Rutland

Manor House is a 17th-century house in Thorpe by Water, Rutland. The house was built by the Harrison family in two phases. The earlier part of the house, dating from the first half of the 17th century, now forms a projecting front wing. An impressive additional range was added in 1691, as indicated by a datestone and tree-ring dating of the roof structure. The name Manor House derives only from the 20th century. The house is within the council area of Rutland.
