Magheramorne, Antrim

Magheramorne is a small village in County Antrim. It is within the townland of Ballylig, in the civil parish of Glynn. The village is a dispersed settlement which grew up from the early 19th century around the Magheramorne limestone quarries and cement works. Magheramorne Presbyterian Church was founded in 1853. The Magheramorne Silver Band was established in 1882. Magheramorne House was built around 1880, replacing an earlier house from 1817. The village is within the council area of Mid and East Antrim.
