Maghera, Down

Maghera is a small village in County Down. It is within the townland of Ballyginny, in the civil parish of Maghera. The village developed around mills along a mill stream off the Ballybannan River, which flows to the west and south of the village. The village is close to the Maghera Church and Round Tower heritage site. The village is within the council area of Newry, Mourne and Down.
