Maghaberry, Antrim
Maghaberry is a large village in County Antrim. It is within the townland of Maghaberry, in the civil parish of Magheramesk. Prior to the Second World War, Maghaberry remained a small hamlet around the cross roads in Maghaberry townland. Since then it has been developed into a large commuter village. HM Prison Maghaberry opened in 1986. The village is within the council area of Lisburn and Castlereagh.
