Magee College, Londonderry
Magee College (main building) is a Victorian educational building in Londonderry, County Londonderry. It is within the townland of Edenballymore, in the civil parish of Templemore. Named from its initial benefactory, Martha Magee, the college opened in 1865 primarily as a theological college, but accepted students from all denominations to study a variety of subjects. The main building was designed by the Dublin architect A. P. Gribben in Gothic style, using Scottish sandstone. In 1984, the college became part of the University of Ulster. Although official called The Ulster University Derry-Londonderry campus, it is still generally known as Magee College. It is within the council area of Derry City and Strabane.
