Madron Well, Cornwall

Madron Well is a holy well near Madron, Cornwall. The well survives as a small rectangular stone-lined and water-filled well shaft. The well has long been held in traditional repute and is linked with the cult of St Madern. Nearby are the ruins of St Madron Well Chapel (Historic England 1143608), a baptistry chapel associated with the well. Also nearby is a wayside cross (Historic England 1004474). The monument is within the council area of Cornwall.
