Lyulph's Tower, Cumberland
Lyulph's Tower is a house in Cumberland. Built about 1795 by Charles Duke of Norfolk in Romantic style. The building was constructed as a hunting lodge for Gowbarrow Park, although it is thought it was built around the view to be a romanticised lakeside retreat. Its unusual shape with three wings led to Pevsner apparently likening it to a 'fire-screen'. It is within the council area of Westmorland and Furness.
