Lytham St Anne's, Lancashire

Lytham St Anne's is a town in Lancashire. The identity of Lytham St Anne's as a town dates from 1922 when, for local government purposes, St Anne's-on-the-Sea urban district and Lytham urban district were merged to become a municipal borough called "Lytham St Anne's". Although the borough was abolished in 1974, the combined name is still commonly used. Nonetheless, the Lytham and St Anne's parts of the combined town maintain distinct identities. The town is within the council area of Fylde (Lancashire).
