Lytham, Lancashire

Lytham is a town in Lancashire, standing at the mouth of the River Ribble. It also forms part of the larger town of Lytham St Anne's. Once a fishing village, it grew with the advent of tourism and seaside health cures and also became a place of residence for wealthy industrialists. The Green, running between the shore and the main coastal road, is a popular spot. Lytham Windmill, built around 1805, stands on The Green. Lytham is within the council area of Fydle (Lancashire).
