Lyndon, Staffordshire
Lyndon is a former village that is now an urban area in West Bromwich, Staffordshire. Until the 19th century, Lyndon was the chief settlement in ancient parish of West Bromwich. All Saints' Church, to its north, dates from the 12th century and Lyndon itself from at least as early as the 14th century. Following the enclosure of the Heath in 1804, the centre of West Bromwich shifted from Lyndon to the south-west to what became the High Street stretch of the Birmingham-Wolverhampton road. Lyndon is within the council area of Sandwell.
