Lye, Worcestershire
Lye (or The Lye) is a town in Worcestershire, within the Black Country. Lye was famous for the manufacture of nails, anvils, vices, chain, crucibles and firebricks. Lye-born actor Sir Cedric Hardwicke is commemorated by a sculpture by Tim Tolkien. The town is within the council area of Dudley.
