Ludstone Hall, Shropshire
Ludstone Hall is a Jacobean mansion in the hamlet of Ludstone, Shropshire. The estate dates back at least to the time of the Conquest and was run as a monastic grange until 1547. The moat dates from the mediæval period. The present house was built in 1607 by John Whitmore. The gardens and lake were developed by later owner Joseph Cartwright in the late 19th century. The house is within the council area of Shropshire.
