Lowfield Heath, Surrey
Lowfield Heath is a village in southern Surrey. The village fell into decline in the 1950s when Gatwick Aerodrome was expanded to become London Gatwick Airport. The White Lion public house and the last houses were demolished in the early 1970s. St Michael and All Angels Church was built in the Gothic Revival style by William Burgess in 1867. In 2008 it became a Seventh-ay Adventist church. Aside from the church, the site now comprises an industrial and commercial estate linked to the airport. It is within the council area of Crawley (West Sussex).
